This is just a short note to let you know that my fiction debut Patricia Wants to Cuddle is out now, with copies available online, in bookstores, and at libraries. Personally, I’d love if you bought one on Bookshop or went over to your local indie to pick it up in person. It’s hard out here for an author and every sale matters! Oh, and if you’ve already finished, please head over to Goodreads to leave a review, because that helps, too!
Here’s what I’ve been up to around the launch:
I wrote an essay for Them about how the critical reevaluation of Jennifer’s Body helped me realize my weird little book would find its readers.
I wrote an essay for LitHub about making the leap from memoir to fiction, and about giving myself permission to go big.
I held my launch at Elliott Bay in Seattle and Patricia appeared to sign books alongside me!
And here’s what I’m up to next, including opportunities to come get your book signed in person:
I’m reading at the Powell’s on Cedar Hills in Portland on 7/6 at 7 PM! Details below:
I’m reading at Skylight in Los Angeles on 7/17 at 5 PM with One to Watch author Kate Stayman-London! Details below:
I’ll update you when there are more dates to share. Thank you to everyone who’s bought a copy or picked one up at the library. I’m so thrilled that Patricia is finally out in the world, and I hope she gets all the cuddles she’s looking for.
